Postcards from Northern Greece
Windstar Cruises

From the heights of remote ancient monasteries to the warm waters of little-known beaches, this 8-day Greece cruise of Roman forums, royal tombs, and rustic countryside cuisine explores northern Greece and western Turkey. Spend an exclusive evening savoring a candlelight dinner on Harbor Street outside Ephesus. Wander between the broken columns of Philippi outside Kavala and explore the ancient forum, theater, and basilicas. Lose yourself in Thessaloniki's royal tombs, Byzantine fortifications, and early gold jewelry prior to an extended evening of grilled meats and regional wines during an overnight port stay. Witness the contrasts of sweeping summit views and cloistered monastic life inside Medieval monasteries perched atop Meteora's formidable rock formations. Seek out the thematic backdrops for the film Mama Mia on Skopelos, or escape inland on a forested hiking tour of forgotten flagstone roads, trickling natural springs, and views of nearby monasteries.
